Horizon Fitness EX76 Elliptical Trainer Enjoy a fun and invigorating total body workout without leaving the home with the Horizon EX76 elliptical trainer, which works your legs as well as your upper body. Perfect for rigorous training routines, the EX76 offers a 16-level electronic resistance system, along with a heavy-duty 14-pound flywheel that maintains pedal and arm momentum while offering a smooth, quiet operation. More significantly from a user perspective, the trainer offers 16 workout programs: Manual, Intervals 1, Intervals 2, Rolling 1, Rolling 2, Weight Loss 1, Weight Loss 2, Reverse Train 1, Reverse Train 2, Random 1, Random 2, Race, Incline 1, Incline 2, Custom 1, and Custom 2. The LED matrix and quartet of alphanumeric readouts, meanwhile, offer key workout feedback, helping you develop an effective training regimen.
Horizon employs a heavy-duty flywheel that provides continuous velocity, so as your feet move the pedals, the flywheel’s momentum carries you through the complete motion. As a result, the trainer feels very natural and not at all choppy. Plus, the flywheel is extremely quiet, making the trainer ideal for home use. Horizon also applies a magnetic brake to the flywheel, creating more consistent resistance during a workout. And the instep-stacked flywheel design–where the flywheel sits above the pedals rather than in line with them–delivers a lower step-on height for easy access, along with a stride length that’s longer, more natural, and more versatile regardless of the user, workout type, and fitness level.
Horizon’s Ergoflow elliptical geometry is built around your body, not the machine’s components. The distance between the pedals have been narrowed to create a more natural walking motion, and the pivoting footpad imitates how your foot’s position changes as you move forward. And a more natural, ergonomic movement means less stress on your knees, hips, and lower back, so you enjoy longer workouts and faster results.
Other details include an MP3 port with speakers and audio in/out jacks, an MP3 holder/pocket, a water bottle holder, a variable 18- to 19-inch stride length, contoured arms with contact heart rate grips, and large cushioned footpads with traction.

About Elliptical Trainers
Elliptical trainers represent the next wave of advancement in low-impact cardiovascular exercise machines and continue to grow in popularity. By simulating motions experienced through walking, stepping, cycling, and skiing, elliptical machines allow for a smooth and fluid motion while building strength in the arms and legs. Similar to the exercise position for treadmills, elliptical trainers are used by standing in an upright position while holding the handrails of the machine. With elliptical trainers, however, your feet remain in the foot pedals throughout the exercise regimen and circulate in a smooth and seamless motion, resulting in little to no impact on the knees, back, and hips.
Elliptical trainers are compatible for all ages and fitness levels and allow you to select the difficulty level through the incline and intensity settings. Additionally, elliptical trainers allow you to determine the complexity of your workout based on your needs, all while listening to music, watching television, or reading a magazine while exercising in the comfort and safety of your own home.
Although different types of elliptical trainers offer an assortment of features, many of them include an array of challenging programs, forward and reverse directional movement, EKG grip pulse handles, a lightweight portable design with easy fold-up capability, and a monitor displaying calories burned, distance, speed, time, and heart rate. Other types of exercise machines, namely treadmills and bikes, offer excellent cardiovascular exercise and muscular training for the legs in a forward-motion exercise. Elliptical trainers take this to the next level by offering an upper and lower body workout with dual motion, challenging and diverse programs, and a low-impact exercise machine that won’t strain sensitive joints.

Customer Review: Fantastic Machine!
I just purchased this item a few weeks ago. It arrived VERY quickly by an independent shipping truck with a mechanical lift on the back for easy loading into my car. Buyers BEWARE…this elliptical is 250 pounds and comes in a GIANT box that will take 2 strong men to lift. Otherwise you will have to take it piece by piece up the stairs like my husband and I..and then the flywheel and body are all in ONE PIECE to heft up the stairs. It was challenging, but worth it. Also, this elliptical is TALL in height and when standing on it, you will need a relatively high ceiling. It is a fantastic machine, every piece is soldered together, very clean lines, smooth motion, no noise and very user friendly. Both my husband and I are tall (I’m 5′9″ and he is 6′6″) and we both can use this machine. I LOVE IT! THANK YOU AMAZON!!
Customer Review: Just what I was looking for.
I shopped around quite a bit before deciding on the EX-76. I was impressed with the design and the function of the incline. It gives you many variations for your workout and has an easy to use digital display panel.
It wasn’t too difficult to put together and it doesn’t take up too much space either.
I think the price was just right for the convenience of not dealing with a gym and so far I am impressed with the results it has given.
My only complaint would be that the foot pedals tilt down too much sorta smashing your toes, but once I got the hang of gripping my feet farther back it hasn’t caused any problems. Overall I am very satisfied and look forward to my workouts everyday!
